Cause: dovecot unable to log in on behalf of user. Error in /var/log/maillog:-
Jan 2 02:53:52 hosteduser dovecot: auth(default): Failed to lookup domain owner of hosteddomain.com
Root causes:-
1. hostname == hosted domain name == hosteddomain.com

2. /etc/userdomains not updated with hosted domain name (hosteddomain.com)

Fixes:-
1. Change hostname via /etc/sysconfig/network (hosteddomain.com --> sv1.hosteddomain.com). If server is a VM, change the hostname in the VM's entry in SolusVM to ensure it persists in the next reboot.
2. Verify/add A record for host 'sv1.hosteddomain.com' in cpanel.
3. Ran /usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt to update cpanel license.
4. Added hosteddomain.com in /etc/userdomains
5. Restart dovecot:-
/etc/init.d/dovecot restart
