Dear Reseller and customer

1. What happened

We have worked hard to ensure all our servers are updated. Moving forward, we must ensure all hosted websites are secure by upgrading their accounts to a supported PHP version.

2. If your account was upgraded to PHP 8.3 - Verification Required

For websites that are compatible with PHP 8.3, we have completed the upgrade on your behalf. This upgrade was necessary because the previous PHP version is no longer receiving official security updates and could expose your website to known vulnerabilities.

2.1 Current Status:

After the upgrade, we performed a brief check and your website appears to be displaying and functioning normally.

2.2 Action Required: Please Verify Your Website

We kindly request that you review your website and confirm everything is working as expected including pages, forms, login areas, and any custom features.

  • If everything is working fine, no action is needed. If we do not hear from you within 2 weeks of your notice, we will consider the upgrade successful.
  • If you notice any issues: Please open a support ticket. We will revert your account to the previous PHP version so your website continues to operate while you arrange the fix.

2.3 Important: Transition Period

If a revert is required, you will have 1 month to update your website to be compatible with PHP 8.3. After this period, we will enforce the change to PHP 8.3. If your website cannot be updated in time, please contact us to discuss PHP Extended Lifecycle Support (ELS) options, which can provide continued security patches for older PHP versions.

3. If your account was reverted to the previous PHP version (8.1 or below) - Action Required Within 1 Month

3.1 What Happened

During our testing after the upgrade, we found that your website did not function correctly on PHP 8.3. To avoid disrupting your service, we have reverted your account to the previous PHP version so your website continues to operate normally.

3.2 Action Required: Update Your Website Within 1 Month

Your website is currently running on an end-of-life PHP version that no longer receives official security updates. You have 1 month from the date of this notice to update your website to be compatible with PHP 8.3.

After this period, we will enforce the change to PHP 8.3. If your website cannot be updated in time, please contact us to discuss PHP Extended Lifecycle Support (ELS) options, which can provide continued security patches for older PHP versions.

4. Important Note:

  • Please note that the vulnerable PHP version will eventually be removed from our servers as part of our security policy, so planning the upgrade is important.
  • For Resellers: Please relay this notice to your affected clients and assist them with verifying their websites or completing the PHP 8.3 upgrade within the stated timeframe.
  • Accounts that are not upgraded within 1 month of their individual notice date will be automatically switched to PHP 8.3.

If you have any questions, please open a support ticket and our team will assist you.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping your website secure.

Regards
