WHM MX Spamexperts Setup

 

Situation

Subscribed to Incoming Scanning package, and need to enable it on the subscribed domain.

Procedure

 

Step 1: Verify Incoming Scanning Package

  1. Log in to Client Area @ https://nocser.net/clients , and make sure your Incoming Scanning product is active.

  2. Click on the active incoming scanning product.
  3. In the Incoming Scanning package details, verify that the subscription status is active. Click on Login to SpamExperts Control Panel.

  4. Once logged on to SpamExperts dashboard, verify that the correct domain appears on the screen. If all goes well, SpamExperts is ready to operate for this domain.

Step 2: Point MX Records to SpamExperts

  1. Log in to this domain's WHM e.g. domain.com/whm . Then search for DNS Zone Manager and click on it:-
  2. In the DNS Zone Manager, search for the domain, and click on Manage.

  3. At the top of DNS Zone Manager for the domain, click on Email Routing Configuration.

  4. For Email Routing, choose Local Mail Exchanger.

  5. For MX EntriesREPLACE all current MX records for this domain to the ones highlighted in the screenshot above. Make sure no other MX records exist other than the ones listed above, specifically:-
    • mx.spamexperts.com (priority 10)
    • fallbackmx.spamexperts.eu (priority 20)
    • lastmx.spamexperts.net (priority 30)

  6. Save the changes. Double check that the new MX records are now active by looking up the domain's DNS records in intodns.com, and scrolling down to the MX-related details, to confirm spamexperts/antispamcloud MX set.

  7. In WHM –> Exim Configuration Manager –> Basic Editor –> Access Lists –> Only-verify-recipient, add the following IPs:-
    • 185.201.16.0/22
    • 62.138.14.204
    • 185.201.16.201
    • 185.201.18.200
    • 213.163.65.6
    • 185.201.17.201
    • 46.165.223.16
    • 185.201.17.200
    • 94.75.244.176
    • 185.201.19.200
    • 185.201.18.201
    • 69.64.57.149
    • 199.115.117.7
    • 185.201.19.201
    • 185.201.16.200

Step 3: Send and Receive Test Email

  1. Wait for 1 hour or so (depending on the previous TTL record of the old MX records). Then send a test e-mail to any valid recipient in this domain (such as the default mailbox account@domain

  2. Open the recipient's INBOX via WHM → List Accounts → domain → cPanel → Email Accounts → recipient (e.g. account@domain → Check Email.

  3. Open the test e-mail (or any other latest e-mail in the INBOX), and click on More → Show Source.

  4. Verify that the 2nd and/or 3rd Received: header has antispamcloud.com in it, which proves that the email has gone through SpamExperts filters before delivery.
